New Life Foundation | Winter Solstice Festival Kicks Off
The New Life Winter Solstice Festival has gotten off to a cracking starting time, folks. By yesterday evening, the retreat leaders and festival guests had arrived, tents had been pitched, and supplies had been gathered, all ready for a big 4 days of earth building, dhamma practise, and dancing.
Nether the calorie-free of the full moon, Pi Jon Jandai gave united states of america some background on the history of the Pun Pun community. The evening was rather chilly and then rather than doing a total lying down body scan, Peggy and Larry led the states through some partner meditation. Sitting back to back (and warming one another upwards in the process), we concentrated on the sensations in our body, to the backdrop of the soft strains of a Plum Village vocal sung beautifully by Larry.
This morning time, our adobe house started going upwards at a rapid speed. At this rate, we're going to finish information technology by the end of festival! Lunch fourth dimension saw ravenous earth builders dining on a traditional Northern Thai dish, khao soi, prepared by our talented chefs Pi Pen and Pi Noi.
The weather condition is warming up beautifully after a common cold start this week (which had u.s. rather concerned about our campers) and information technology should be a wonderful remaining iii days. More updates coming soon!
